Introduction
The Aquam8512A series is a Layer 3 managed industrial Ethernet switch specially designed for the rail transit industry. It supports up to 8 Fast Ethernet ports and 4 Gigabit uplink ports, adopts wall-mounted installation, and operates over a wide temperature range of -40℃ to +70℃, complying with rail transit industry standards including EN50155 and EN50121.
The Aquam8512A features optimized dimensions for flexible installation. It supports IP65 high ingress protection to meet dustproof and waterproof requirements. Equipped with M12 interfaces, it ensures tight and reliable port connections, making it ideal for application scenarios with severe vibration and shock.
The Aquam8512A series includes PoE-enabled models with support for wide-range isolated power input from 24VDC to 110VDC. It provides 8 Fast Ethernet ports compliant with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ (backward compatible with IEEE 802.3af), capable of powering 9 IEEE 802.3at/af PD devices and simplifying cabling for terminal equipment. As a PSE device, each port can deliver up to 30.8W, with the entire switch supporting a total PoE power output of 61.6W and above.
The Aquam8512A series supports Layer 3 routing protocols such as OSPF v2.0, along with IGMP and PIM for multicast routing. It also supports DHCP for automatic IP address assignment, as well as DRP and RSTP ring redundancy protocols, enabling flexible networking to fully meet railway market requirements.
This switch is widely applied in on-board PIS, CCTV and train control systems, and is also suitable for all industrial scenarios demanding high resistance to vibration, shock and strict EMC compatibility.
