Introduction
The SICOM6800-2U is a 2U rack-mounted device in the SICOM6800 product series. It is an autonomous and controllable Layer 3 managed Ethernet switch developed for industrial control scenarios with high security requirements.
The device adopts a modular port configuration: the main unit provides 8 10G optical ports plus 16 Gigabit electrical ports, and supports 4 pluggable modules. Each module offers 8 configurable fiber/copper ports with Gigabit or Fast Ethernet speed. It supports hot-swappable high-voltage and low-voltage power supply modules, delivering great flexibility for model selection and field deployment.
The SICOM6800-2U supports abundant Layer 2 software features including port configuration, VLAN, QinQ, multicast, QoS and fast redundant rings. It also provides Layer 3 functions such as static routing, OSPF, PIM and VRRP, and is compatible with both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols.
Equipped with comprehensive maintenance, diagnosis and security protection capabilities, the switch supports hardware-based IEEE 1588 time synchronization with an accuracy of ±100 ns. It supports multiple management modes including Console, Telnet and Web, as well as SNMP-based network management software. It can be widely deployed in backbone communication systems across various industries.
